Flashbots Models Block Builders as Location-Driven Coverage Game

Flashbots' new paper models block building as a stochastic coverage game, analyzing how self-interested builders' geographic choices affect welfare. It finds multi-proposer protocol design must account for location to ensure efficiency and censorship-resistance. Future work includes testing alternative reward-sharing rules and measuring real order-flow geography.
