Paradigm and Tempo open-sourced Centaur, a self-hosted runtime for multiplayer, secure AI agents on 05.21.2026. Centaur runs hours-long tasks, survives restarts, and operates with real credentials without exposing raw secrets. Each Slack thread gets an isolated sandbox container. Architecture uses Postgres for state, stateless services, and a firewall injecting credentials in-flight.
