Cryptographic Speed Bump: Ethereum Gets Code Boost from Random Linear Network Coding
Dan Boneh proposes Random Linear Network Coding for Ethereum to speed up the network by reducing data in transit. To achieve this, block proposers send N linearly independent vectors within a matrix A generated by the columns of the block. This reduces the amount of data from M elements to (M + N) field elements.
