BGD Labs Exits Aave DAO Citing Collaboration Issues

BGD Labs will end its 4-year contribution to Aave DAO when its contract expires April 1, 2026. BGD led or contributed to all major Aave subsystems including Aave v3, now stable with the Umbrella coverage mechanism. They criticize Aave Labs’ pivot to v4, lack of collaboration, and aggressive v3 deprecation before v4 launch. BGD seeks a decentralized, inclusive ecosystem.
