Ethereum EIP-8037 Strands Scaling Gains from Gas Cost Crunch

Ethereum's EIP-8037 imposes strict gas cost for state creation. Without users adapting, 6.2% of blockspace will be utilized under equilibrium if state bytes continue to consume regular gas units at today's ratio, negating ePBS and BALs' scaling gains. Two potential solutions: automated adjustments in EIP-8075 or manual expansion/contraction of the state gas limit through hardforks.
