Aggregation Analysis Throws Throughput into State Growth Tradeoff Chaos

EIP-8037 proposes multidimensional metering to scale throughput while managing state growth. Analysis evaluates three aggregation functions for EIP-1559's base fee update: Sum (current method), Max (proposed in EIP-8037), and Burst (alternative). Results show a trade-off between throughput gains and state growth control. Empirical analysis is recommended to determine burst resource elasticity before finalizing the EIP-8037 design.
